SO I have been wondering how effective Armoured cars really are,aside from snatching undefended provinces. Are they of any use when you pack them in with infantry? Do they soak up damage that would usually be done to infantry?
Im a pretty Mediocre player 
They mainly have their use in the early game. Primarly thanks to the stack limits.
Size Factors
Each unit is limited in it's maximal attack strength. However adding different types of units to your army will allow you to increase your armies attack strength even higher.

So,if,for example,I have an extremely diverse army all with Infantry,Armoured Cars,Cavalry,Tanks,Heavy Tanks,etc,then my army will be more powerful than if i put one or two type/s of units?
