I have been attacking an area from land and sea for over an hour now. The territory shows 2 cavalry and a infantry unit occupying it. I have one ship and 47 infantry units attacking but so far I’ve lost 27 infantry units to their 1. How is that possible. I even left attacking with my infantry for almost an hour after my ship starting attacking. How is that possible?
The enemy's position, cavalry advantage, fatigue, or morale issues with your infantry could be causing disproportionate losses. Additionally, naval units may not be contributing effectively to land combat. Check terrain, unit types, and battle mechanics for clues
I play a lot of Iron Order, so I am not sure if this is applicable, but I have held off a lot of armies with forts. He might be replenishing his fort in order to block the damage. Just check the mechanics with this game if you can use gold to replenish the forts health during combat.
