When Artillery / Light Cruiser go with troops.... still can damaged before all troops gone?

Yes, Artillery and Cruisers can be damaged and destroyed before all the infantry in the group dies.

Damage is basically split between the different units in an army somewhat equally, it does not prioritize killing all the infantry first before it starts killing the other special units.
