Attacking With Planes

I am attacking someone with a bomber right now but for some reason when I go to attack again the bomber relocates back to the location of where I sent it from instead of attacking. Can anybody please tell me why this is happening?

could be because:

- the target is already killed on the first bombing run (likely because of the 'split stack' method)

- the target moved out of your bomber range

- your airfield got destroyed (e.g., by espionage)

Any sufficiently advanced tactic is indistinguishable from magic to the uninitiated.
