The market fee is taken whether the resources sell or not. This was added in this update back in April

Market Fees not refundale!!!
I just made a stock market to sell, profit would have been 1.5 million so it took 150k I decided to cancel the order without selling a single item and it didn't refund my money!!!! I didn't have 150k, this could cost me the damn game, that I've been playing for the last month!!!! Why didn't I get my money back for canceling the trade 20 seconds after I made it?!?!!?!? I WANT MY MONE BACK!
