I hope they fix whatever was wrong with The Ultimate War map soon. That was probably one of my favorite maps of all time and I hope they won't take it down completely.

The issues were that as you conquered more and more area the map became very very laggy and slower and slower to load. There are many bits of information to process by both the game servers and each players computer or device, as well as the sheer volume of data to transmit back and forth.
I suspect that the next generation WebGL graphics renderer has something to do with streamlining things so that the ultimate war map may be functional, but I have never asked if my suspicion is correct.
