Units with 0 strenght kill my units and some odd combat behaviour when stacked
ā¢
I just saw that enemy destroyer with 0 condition killed one of my 5 submarines, they were at 80% condition. How cool is that. Few days ago different game, 6 or 7 of my infantry level 3 with cond. 90 or above attacked one level 1 AA gun and AA gun with some miracle managed to kill one infantry?!? Similar thing happened with enemy AT gun, it took me 10 units to kill it and i had unit loses, not tank btw.
I reported first case with infantry, idk what to do with this one here are screenshots.
So this is unit that took lethal blow to one of my subs
Game Id is 2035200

looks like x factor stuff. i reported that the x factor seemed a little off a couple of weeks ago, gave an in depth description (spending all day monitoring battles to do so) and i got a message from staff to please monitor it and report back. like i said, that is what i had already done. good luck.

the numbers are rounded, so it could be 0,4%

like its relevant if it is 0,8 or 0,1 or just 0, unit with that low condition/strength should be able to kill anything

Several things to point out:
1. the remaining hit points of the enemy destroyer squadron is 0.1 of one hit point, not zero hit points ---- the DD unit is severely damaged, but still afloat;
2. with only 0.1 of a single hit point of the destroyer squadron's original 30.0 hit points, it is still operating at 40% combat efficiency (see the SBDE number for its state-based damage efficiency), which means it still has anti-submarine firepower of 2.4 offensive strength (40% of its original 6.0 anti-sub offensive strength);
3. if the destroyer squadron used ranged naval gunfire (do you see the faint little white circle that appears with the center on the DD unit, when you hover your cursor arrow over it?), then your submarine squadron would never have even had the opportunity to fight back against the attacking, but severely damaged DD unit.

Oh i see what you mean there. I didn't have clue that stacking is used to battle calculation. And now units were in same spot not in range they were directly engaged. Condition of my 5 submarines was 80%. Help me understand one more thing, so that destroyer could hit my submarines fo 2,4hp or what? Is that enough to take down submarine?
edit: I see their SBDE is now 99% for 4 of them

First of all, remember that our in-game submarine squadrons represent more than one individual submarine and crew. In U.S. Navy parlance, a submarine "squadron" typically includes at least four boats. The use of the term by other navies varies widely. The term is not specifically defined in Call of War, but a stack of more than two sub squadrons (i.e. three or more) becomes a "flotilla."
As for our in-game submarine unit's characteristics, an individual submarine squadron at 100% condition has 25 hit points. A "stack" of five submarine squadrons, at 100% condition, will have 125 hit points. A stack of five submarine squadrons at 80% condition will only have 100 hit points, and any small nick of damage will easily reduce the collective stack to 99 or fewer hit points, and thereby eliminate the fifth sub unit in the stack, leaving only a four-unit stack, but with a condition approaching 99%.
