There are no gold rewards on the 2p map since it could be easily abused and farmed.

Winning gold
2 Player English Channel Game FP 2111195 - game has finished as I have successfully met the mission of obtaining 90% of the VP provinces, but the Victory Reward Payout states we both get 0 VP.
