You need to do it on mobile, I had that issue also. ( even on mobile it took time, but finally one day it succeeded - after I several times deleted, and reinstalled the game )

Access The Menu Hub Screen Mission Not Rewarding Me
I am playing on the desktop browser version.
I clicked the Menu Hub Button (the back arrow) multiple times and it has still not rewarded me.
Is there another button I need to click or do I have to do it a certain way?
