I got achievements from stuff that i probably didn't do, maybe somebody wants to check the stats. Or as normally happens, the game is working as intended and i'm just wrong 
I received a notice this morning similar to above. Bug report submitted under Beta as that was my suspected problem.
This has occured with several people, the cause is under investigation.
For me I got an Achievement but I wasn't able to claim it not until few days.
Yeah getting the same. Many of the games i dont play but it says I won 6 rounds etc
Will it happen you have to give gold back you recieved
It happened to me and at least 3 of my alliance partners...this one is really a serious bug.
1) In many games out there where a person/group were winning their enemy can now 'buy' stuff with free money.
2) One who works for achievements just had them given to him
3) If anyone was fighting against a golder and attempting to make him 'pay' for a victory if you couldn't beat him, he just received a ton of free gold to kick your ass.
4) If you already had those achievements you got no gold and hence at a worse disadvantage.
5) If you had better equipment than your enemy and was slowly crushing him, he will now be able to instantly gold up his equipment and cause a lot of damage.
On and on...
COW may want to consider resetting all achievements or stopping all current games with anyone still alive to get a victory...maybe other alternatives?
