Also experienced this bug. Interceptors will teleport back to their airbase they are flying from when given the attack command. Or if they are already landed they simply won't attack. Very frustrating when in a 3v1 battle lol.

Aircraft attack bug.
There is a new bug that was added in last patch. You cant directly attack with planes anymore only patrol. Game # 8612924

It affects ground units as well. A defending unit can no longer switch to attack.

aircraft bug is also true for game #8623649.
There is a slight advantage due to this bug, after ordering the attack the aircraft arrive immediately their starting airfield, they don't waste time by returning to the airfield or airport.
