Also it is very hard to get aircraft from one airfield to another they keep saying needs an airfield to start

Aircraft glitching
Try to send aircraft on an attack mission and it packs up and goes to move to the physical location like a ground unit and Submarines are much to powerful...I have virtually lost my entire fleet to one group of submarines

Your aircraft will move as ground unti iIf you are trying to attack the target beyond their range. Same when you move them from airfield to airfield.
You need destroyers to counter submarines, there is no other way, naval bombers do not have enough range.
