I've been encountering this problem for several days now. Basically, when I try to split up a stack of aircraft to fly a mission with only some, they don't split but all take off on the mission. I find I can split them once they begin the mission by sending some of them back to base, but I shouldn't have to do this. Mostly I am trying to split off interceptors from tac bombers.
Best work around for this is to take the planes you dont want to move and click split but only send them somewhere they will drive to. Once they turn to trucks, send the other planes to the new location by air. Then go back to the trucks and send them back to the original place.
It seems I'm not the only one with this problem. Thanks for the tip
