Albanian flag is wrong in Antarctica

In the antarctica map, the Albania flag has a weird star above the eagle. Why?

That's the flag of Communist Albania, which was established by Enver Hoxha following the end of WW2 in 1946. In 1991, when that communist government collapsed, they removed the star.

How did Albania manage to gain a foothold in Antarctica after ww2 but Egypt didn’t?

That’s right. After Hoxha died the successors couldn’t maintain control over the country and it ended up collapsing due to nationalism... similar to Yugoslavia

The map is Eurocentric. Not a single African country is represented.

Damn. RIP to the Magrebis that helped beat the Nazis out of Italy and France I guess. And the South Africans who would be a perfect place to invade Antártica from! I mean no Arab countries either? ;( ;( ;( …I think Latin America has some countries at least.

There’s also India, Pakistan and Israel, all of which weren’t independent until at least two years after WW2 ended.

How the hell did the Israelis just survive a genocide, travel to a different continent, set up a state, and then go to Antarctica? I thought the Nazis where the ones who used super serums… at least India makes sense considering all the forces the Raj sent, though it wouldn’t be divided as you said.

And Mexico, Argentina, Saudi, Siam and the Koreas are all forgotten.

Damn man, I thought they had Mexico! I get you only have 40 countries but is Albania really that important?

Of course it is, what am I saying?

The PRC also.

This explains the lack of African nations -- they were all colonies (except Ethiopia and Liberia).

But the thing is Morocco Egypt and Algeria actually participated in the war and are much bigger than say Albania. It makes no sense how Albania could manage an expedition but these far larger countries that fought the Axis don’t…
