I was messing around with the game so I scroled all the way to either side of the map. I noticed ocean on both sides and I believe it maybe another game. Or not just another bug. 
That is simply the "wooden frame" image not being as large as the underlying "ocean" image. The frame graphic is relatively new and still needs a bit of adjustment.
