Reload the page. I've had this happen to many of my alliance members. When you click on the accept button the first time, it goes through, but the offer is still there.

Alliance invitation
hi i got an alliance invitation yesterday, but whether i click accept or deny it say "This action is not allow". Chat said it was because the invitation was already withdrawn, but the invitation still stay there along with the Alliance tab "Alliance (1)" notification. How do i get rid of it?

reload does nothing, when i first saw it i clicked deny, it say "This action is not allow", so i try accept, still show "This action is not allow", so i wait till today, still there. guess i can only wait more. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. thanks for reply.

Check the alliance that you applied for. Are you now listed as a member?

But you received an invitation to one. If you clicked accept, check the alliance page to see whether you are listed in the member list.

One of our moderators finally pinned this bug down.
invitations to an alliance that are sent from the in game diplomacy profile or from the chat profile contain errors and do not function correctly.
Alliance invitations should only be sent from the ranking page in order to properly function.
