Alliance Name Change Issue

I am the leader of the "GD Division" alliance. I am trying to change the name to "Grossdeutschland". I checked the rankings page and no one has this name so it should be open to use. However, when I try to change it the invalid/taken message pops up. How can this be resolved? Can an operator or dev change it on their end for me?
