An AI takes your land when u go inactive bug

So I played a match and soon went inactive, and later , I came back to the. Old match

Then, I found something shocking: an AI has taken my land when I was inactive, but however, the me and that AI Nader fell into war

Strange.

Supposedly, if you have been at war with that said AI before you went inactive, the war should've continued on even when you've become inactive.

If I understand correctly: You lost provinces but not due to war? That is called a rebellion.
