These problems with ranged fire units have been around for a long time. Likely due to irregularities in the distance calculations.
The most annoying version of this fault is when the enemy units are firing but yours are not..
I've noticed a rather annoying bug lately, I can't say exactly when it started.
It concerns artillery and rocket missiles.
Here are the problems I'm having:
- I'm making a direct attack and my unit is supposed to connect the point for shelling -> it remains motionless and "on standby", but if I make it move towards the objective the unit moves, but as soon as I attack again it becomes motionless again. Sometimes when I refresh my web page, it starts moving again, sometimes not.
- At times, even worse, when I'm close to firing, I'll alternate between moving towards and attacking, let's say within a minute of where my units are going to shell. Well, sometimes they do fire, since my counter resets to 29min50s (more or less depending on when I click on the description of my units in question), but they haven't inflicted any damage on the opposing units.
- Units do not shell in offensive mode (premium account) when they reach the distance (-50 km) at which they can shell the target. However, once this point has been passed, direct attack works normally.
I'm not sure if I'm the only one to experience these bugs, but it's a real pain!
