I'm really curious to know how an atomic bomber can be shot down by planes on the ground? This has just happened to me and makes no sense.
I scouted my target with a fighter and left it there on patrol. I then watched my A bomber go in and then nothing. Checking the newspaper, it said that it had been shot down by planes, but there were none in the air!
Can this really be right? Is it a bug?

planes standing on the ground are not always on the ground.
Wenn refuelling they are on the ground and count as infantery.
Wenn not refuelling and "standing"on the ground they actually count as airborne and will defend themselves like they are airbron. In this case you may lose a bomber.

There is a "scramble" ability built into the interceptors. they are fueled, and waiting on the ground. This is why most players advise you send fighters with your bomber, or send fighters ahead to attack the enemy fighters.

There is an announcement about the server being down. Developers are working on the problem, but I have not received word outside of that. Please check the announcement for details.
