Attack Bug

Multiple times now I have logged into one of my games to find that my army, after defeating an enemy, failed to take control over the province I was attacking. This cause a lapse in the time I could be growing morale and costs valuable time in my quest for world domination. :wallbash

This could be because the province rebelled and recaptured that province

If there are units of another country present this will prevent the capture of the province unless you eliminate those units as well.

I dont want to act like i know more than Volan because I dont.

Like volan said, if another countrys units are present you eaither need to eliminate them or if they are your ally ask them to move in a message!

Dudetaco10,

Recruit

that was not the case. and again today I set 4 motorized infantry to attack a province that I could see was unprotected by any units, and was not being played by a player, and with a travel time of 22min. then 6 hrs later my 4 units are sitting there without the province being claimed. which means I lost 5hrs 38 mins of time I could have been accruing morale. seems this game has the same problem all other video games have, the computer cheats. devs think they are pretty smart, but they dont know how to stop a program from cheating. also, this was a 1.0 game.

It could be because a third countries units are in the province.

The A.I. doesn’t cheat. Sometimes it is a visual lag. If you are on PC, look at the arrows at the bottom right of the screen. If they are spinning or grayed out, there is not a proper connection to the server. Reload. Even if the arrows aren’t spinning, there can still be a lag. I would try reloading and clearing your browser cache.

Sometimes that happens it happened to me too before. Just checking the in-game events...but if there is another countries units in the province you are attempting to capture then that is the problem.

Only a DEV would make a statement that the A.I. doesn't cheat. I have been playing mmo's for 20 yrs and they all cheat. That's why we call the "RNG" a "rigged number generator". No such thing as random in a computer generating numbers, computers cant do random! I also don't like that I have to close game and reload to get the correct morale to display. And why do my anti-air have to be attacked directly to fire at plane flying over a province?

Because that’s how anti air works. Honestly, the AI practically does the opposite of cheat. It is extremely, extremely weak. It builds weak units in huge stacks with no regard for SBDE.

In many cases this is simply a case of your device not updating in the background. Check the newspaper to see when you actually captured the province.

Province morale is only updated once per day at day change, so it makes no difference if you capture it one minute or 1439 minutes prior to day change, the morale will adjust by exactly the same amount.

OK, if the game doesn't cheat, then tell me how this happened...yesterday morning I conquered the last province owned by turkey, Istanbul, with 2 lvl 3 inf., and a motorized inf., left them sit there all day, and when the the tooltip said 39% morale with 0% chance of uprising I moved those troops to Trabzon. just now I logged onto that map to find that turkey is back and now has control of Istanbul. AI's always cheat, that why we don't give them control in RL. and if the AI stacks low lvl troops why did they just attack me with lvl 3 inf. U obviously don't know how your own game works. I thought this game might be like an old fav of mine, "Axis & Allies" but I was wrong.

it’s just a rebellion

Check the paper. Look for that province name. What does the Herald say happened there? If one minute it's under your control and hours later it's not, then something happened (likely the rebellion that RiverWolf74 suggested) and the paper will tell you what.

Also, note that the percentage shown under "Chance of an uprising" is taking into consideration the state of that province the moment you are checking its morale. So if you checked it with that large army on it, that 0% is dependent on the presence of that unit (i.e. no civilian population plans to rebel when you have such a large military presence right in your back yard).

If you move them away, you are directly impacting that chance, to your detriment, because there is no one presently 'securing the province' any longer. I'd wager that the Chance of an uprising was in fact %0 when you checked it (because your forces were likely there at the time); but had you checked it AFTER they left, it could have easily skyrocketed to a 12% chance, 15% chance, or much, much more.
