AWOL Bombers

I had some tac bombers(15 in total) coming back from a run against Moscow in game 1068715 when I spotted two enemy armies, one a ghost unit. I split my forces to attack them with 10 going to attack the ghost army. These ten proceeded to disappear into thin air. When I reloaded the game, three returned, the rest still missing. That was not the end. The number then dropped once again to five, with their icon still showing 8 until you hover over it. The target also seems to change. I have some images of it.
