2 accounts from the same IP usually indicate multiaccounts
and what's wrong with chatting outside of the game?
Hi just joined the forum... my issue is the game banning players in the middle of a map. I was doing a tutorial and had 2 persons on my coalition and according to their messages they were a brother and sister, both were banned in the middle of a map for using the same WiFi and I wound up trying to fight another 3 person coalition by my self. My suggestion is to not ban people mid map to wait until their maps are finished because it doesn’t just affect them. My other issue is teams chat on discord send pics and chat and work together but using the same WiFi is considered cheating? You really need to rethink this as it caused both of them to just quit the game. Meanwhile it’s pretty obvious that teams are chatting on an outside app with no punishment at all.

The only thing I can think of is espionage evasion, but I don't think Bytro has any problem with that. The world of spies is secret, after all.Teburu wrote:

Well I can use my phone an iPad on LTE to play and then use my kids iPad on my WiFi therefore running 3 accounts from the same IP address but only having one account on the IP address. So what’s the point of not having more than one person per IP address? And what happens to siblings that have to use the same IP address one can’t play the game?
Or how about this 4 of my friends and myself use discord to join a big map same map number... one of us joins a different coalitions and screen shot our team mates maps we share the pics on discord then the others know exactly where to stack their troops and push. These things are happening in game without a doubt which is why I will never spend a dime on this game. It’s a great game but it’s broken in so many aspects.
Family members can play together. But usually worksTeburu wrote:

The rules and procedures concerning multi accounts are standardized and applied uniformly. I am not at liberty to divulge all of the factors that are considered in the analysis as some are obvious and some are not. While having a matching IP is a factor it is not the only factor that matters.
While the automated system catches many of these players eventually, in many cases other players notice them first. When you notice behavior that indicates a multi account please report the player through their diplomacy information tab and it will be investigated.
They will get a warning in game first I am guessing.
They don’t get a warning and I’m not reporting anyone because I also am not at liberty to divulge that information...basically not my job and I don’t wanna ruin anyone else game in the middle of a map...if I did spend gold on said map and didn’t know my coalition mate was cheating and they are banned will I be refund the gold spent? Because some admin decides to ban them mid game? You guys banned a brother and sister playing on same IP address in the middle of game during the corona virus which is why this isn’t a game I would spend on.
Policies and procedures are applied equally to all players. Naturally we are not at liberty to disclose any actions taken publicly.
