Thanks for this thread. I found the shift clicking helpful. I was trying to get my ships (subs) stacked. I had read this. Then couldn't find it.

Bug Report: Grouping & Selecting Multiple Units
Hello!
When grouping military units together by holding SHIFT and then selecting them individually, they do not appear in the selection below.
Also, right-clicking and dragging to highlight with the selector tool ("highlighter") results in the same.
Essentially, the units are getting selected. However, this information is not communicated to me as the player in the GUI.
When issuing an order to relocated from point to point, units do indeed carry out their orders. However, the only indicator of this action is the route line of the units.
Please test this out and correct soon!

When using Ctrl, the unit selections are updated.
When the enemy is driven back, we have failed. When he is cut off, encircled and dispersed, we have succeeded.
