Can't attack Bridghead

So, I'm playing the Antarctica Dominion map and I'm at war with another player. I can attack and take provinces they took from the Nazis, but for some reason I am not allowed to enter or attack their starting provinces. Is this a feature or a bug?

This is a feature specific to the Antarctica map.

Ah, ok, thank you. May I ask the reasoning behind this?

The antarctica map was set up to be a completely different kind of map. It is a king of the hill kind of strategy. You will also notice vps dont count for anything, and you can't make RoW relations with AI.

Here is a link to the description of the map:

Operation Highjump

It's thought to be an almost cold war type ideal, with other players. You can take what technically wasn't theirs, in the first place.

You also cannot place spies in their territory, or shell into their territory from arty, RR gun, or from naval.

Free Time looks good on me

Yeah, I realized all of this stuff kinda late. I backstabbed a careless ally who had made a stupid suicide push into Nazi territory, only to find I couldn't take their provinces. ^^
