If you are upgrading a unit and give it a move order, then click on Delay then click Cancel Delay it will cancel the upgrade and you lose all your resources.

They really need to remove the resource loss from cancelling upgrades. Why? Units that are getting new equipment and training with it wouldn’t just scrap it all the second their use of it is canceled! It simply would be taken back. There shouldn’t be a resource loss for canceling upgrades. Plus the waste of time is already enough of a loss when canceling an upgrade, there is no need to lose resources too.
As for the bug, that’s quite annoying. Even if you start a move and delay order the upgrade would cancel it so you can’t have a delay order while upgrading until this bug is fixed. Sucks, though it will probably be fixed soon.

"probably be fixed soon" - sure hope so! Start upgrade, then tell unit to move, then add delay - poof, lost resources and upgrade stopped. Well, I learned and am glad it wasn't a big stack.

I’m Lucky I don’t use delays too often or this would have screwed me over big time.

I’m not 100% sure, but I think this was fixed in the most recent update.

This was on July 6. The next release notes were July 11 and they don't mention it. link:[July 11 release notes]
