Cant increase food production

I have been spending large amounts of money buying gold to build up my food production. when I first started playing this round I could gold buy improvements to my food producing territories and I would see an increase right away. but recently I have spent large amounts and there is no difference in production. I have discussed this with others in forum and I was able to disable my barricks which in turn lowered my food use. However the problem still remains that my huge improvements to food production are not doing anything. There is a serious problem.

in this same game there is another problem. I am a coalition leader. I went to war against south America and took it over completely. then I marched North and took over a large portion of North America. the territories were owned by Mexico ,California and UK. after about a week a number of territories are revolting but very strangely they are revolting to Korea who is in my coalition but doesnt own territories any where even close to that area. also when my territories are revolting to Korea they instantly have 62 moral for Korea. Aswell Korean units start to appear not many but a few. How can Korean units be produced when the territories dont even have industrial complexes.

The round in question is Game number 1824329

The number in the browser address bar is 6734542

I need help How is it fair that I have paid so much money and cant improve my food production. Is someone hacking or using a cheat ?

@Razorwire62, production of food typically maxes out around 6,000 tons per day in a core resource province, 12,000 tons per day in the rare double food core resource province, 1,500 per day in a captured non-core resource province, and 3,000 tons per day in a captured rare double food province. If they are coastal provinces, you may also increase production another 30% by adding three levels of naval base. Please note this assumes that each food province has an L5 industrial complex, L3 infrastructure, and 100% morale; 100% morale is not attainable in many captured provinces on the far side of the map from your country's capital because of the distance-from-capital morale penalty, even with L5 fortifications.

Thank you for that info however I spent money today on food producing territories that didnt have any buildings. I think its safe to say that if a food producing territory has no buildings at all and I build 2 or 3 lvl's of industrial complex plus levels of infrastructure and still no increase in food production .. then I believe something is wrong. All of my food producing territories that are on a coast have maxed ports as well as maxed Infra and Indust comp.

any thoughts on the other situation involving Korea ?

FYI, it is always more cost-effective and more time-efficient to build all three levels of infrastructure in a food production province before you build any levels of industrial complex. L3 infrastructure and L5 industrial complexes both increase resource production 50%, but it requires more resources and more time to build an L5 industrial complex than it does to build L3 infrastructure.

Bottom line: build infrastructure first unless you need another industrial complex for other reasons.

1. The morale of a province that successfully rebels and defects to another country will always be higher than it was before the rebellion. The province's morale may rise or fall from there, depending on the usual factors that impact morale, all relative to the new country that the province has joined. For instance, if the new country's capital is closer to the subject province, morale should be higher.

2. Depending on the map you are playing, all countries have either 4 or 5 urban areas that start the game with L1 industrial complexes. However, industrial complexes, like all buildings, can be damaged and even completely destroyed by combat in the province, occupation of the province by a different power, and bombardment by artillery, naval gunfire, bombers, rockets or nukes.

3. Sometimes garrison units will be completely destroyed when a province successfully rebels; other times your unit will defect to the new country that takes possession of the province.

4. Production of militia does not require an industrial complex, only a barracks.

Thats good to know .. thx for the info.

Koreas Capital is close to the same distance from Mexico as my capital in Philipines. so that would equal out. when territories revolt to Philippines they never revolt and have 62 moral for me.. thats higher than anything I have seen. The units appearing are not malitia. it maybe possible that my own unit got taken over by the revolt. This whole area is acting way different than any other part of the world I have dealt with. In South America .. which is further away from my capital the moral is fine I dont have en mass territories revolting and going to Korea. There are some revolts but they return to the country that owned them previously. Moral generaly starts out around 25% after I attack and take it over then as the day goes on it goes up by a little. after two days its usually around 33% and after a few more days its around 35-40 % but in North Mexico 85% of all my new territories started at 25% and the moral is under pressure to go down.. I used gold to get a number of the population centers up to 50% or better that usually influences the surrounding territories and the moral steadies and levels off eventually going up. thats not happening this time.

Are you familiar with all of the factors that impact a province's morale? There is a little information "i" button next to the morale on the pop-up for each province. If you click on that button, it will show all of the positive and negative factors that affect that province's morale.

hmmm interesting thing just happened. I was at minus 1324 food per hour. I went to check on my game and when it opened it was at minus 1324 then after about 20 seconds the food production totals refreshed and now Im only at minus 845 per hour... thats a lot better. how did I get about 500 per hour of food production improvement.. guess all my spending just kicked in... who knows theres so many glitches errors and inconsistencies in this game.. over 60 pages of bug reports. .. not exactly building confidence in those who wish to spend hard earned money. .. thx for taking the time to share info with me I do appreciate it. buyer be aware.. and have fun playing a glitchy and inconstant game.

Glad I could be of some help.

FYI, it's been a lot glitchier than usual for the last week or so. Not sure what's causing that. Normally, bugs are limited to particular unit types, or other small segments of the code.

instead of 60 pages of bugs and glitches i'd say you have no clue about the game

tip: units maintenance costs food too

tip 2: provinces spends food too, if you conquer provinces that are completly useless for you that will change your food and goods for some money

really no clue about the game ... nice ... maybe you want to tell that to all the countries Ive conquered . I dont think a person who is wining a 100 person game has no clue about the game.. that comment is out of place and uncalled for.. where did I offend you or talk down to you that would cause you to to talk like that... the facts are the game has over 60 pages of bug reports. thats fact . I didnt make that up. so me pointing that out should not ruffle your feathers and cause you to say I have no clue how to play. I think you owe me an apology Mr nemuritor98.

maybe the way i told it wasn't the best, my apologies. however yes, if you can't handle the economy means that you have to keep improving your skills in the game

go to the food bar(put the mouse over it) and check where your food is destined

I think it was maybe day 1 or 2 I learnt that. thx for the enlightenment.

Following your thread, I have not seen anyone mention the possibility that your provinces are being targeted by espionage.

I have seen coalition members use espionage against each other to flip territories through revolts. Don't know if you are dealing with this but the classic case was done to me in one of my early games where a coalition member parked forces next to some of my lands, hit them with espionage so they would revolt and then occupied them "for me".

Yeah....

I crushed him later in that game.

(I could see the espionage because I had a few spies doing intel on him. Not a very trust worthy coalition.)

yes that was in play. I caught one player doing that. it turns out that the game had not updated my improvements to my food producing territories and then when it did update everything improved... my moral in recently captured territories went up / stabalized my food production jumped 500 tons an hour for the next few days over 90% of my resorce production went right back into food production and now its very stable at around minus 100 an hour only. compared to minus 2000 an hour thats a huge improvement.

PS there are only 5 active players in that 100 player game now. 3 control over 95% it will be over soon I am at 2210 VP ( philippines ) Pakistan is at 1824 and Angola is at 1485
