Capturing Territory

I have had several incidents of this happen in this game...I'm attacking a province and someone else moves in during the last round of combat (the enemy unit was killed) however, the person who moved in their forces and joined combat. Since they joined just as it ended they got the credit for the province. Now since my unit was under orders to attack that province it attacked the 2nd attackers forces and I get a pervidous war whatever and am in combat with forces I didnt want to be.

Its not fair they get possession of the territory (as they didn't really participate in much combat and they were the second attacker).

I think this should be addressed because it sets up for what I think is a dirty, low down trick of "stealing" a province you see someone else attacking!!!!

Hello JWFrink.

There are different scenarios how a fight can end and in this case someone took the advantage of the situation. Maybe next time you will be the one to use this tactic against someone else.

Good luck on the battlefields!

Well, if it was "someone else" who dealt the final blow and took the province under your nose, you can either let him have it, of fight with him. Choice is yours. If you think this is dirty as he stole province from you, remember that you already decided to steal provinces from the guy you attacked. Just because you were already attacking is not enough to make third person decide not to get in and try to take some spoils, it even encourages him to do it since you are busy fighting.
