Day1: Karelian troops stationed globally

My new game (gameID=3541735) started in a very strange way.

Karelia, an unplayable AI country, started with troops in other, faraway countries:

1) Florida (South USA).

2) Western Sahara (Morocco).

3) Slovenia (Yugoslavia).

These provinces flipped to Karelia immediately, as the game started. The units were there to begin with. Karelia had no time to move them.

There may have been other incursions that lost, so they had no effect on the map, but at least 3 provinces were flipped, none of them neighboring Karelian core lands.

An interesting bug.

new players start with a province invaded to give them experience of invading with their exclusive med tank

On purpose???

AI controlled Karelia might have provinces all over the world for the rest of the game.

How am I supposed to take them out, playing as Finland?

I'll have a "forever" war on my hands, with permanent -5 morale.

This doesn't make sense unless you make those early rebellions a non-country.

Goes back to the idea of a "rebel" nation, which doesn't count as a war, just a way to tag rebel provinces.

Either players will combat the karelian invasion, or you have to wait for them to go inactive and for bot to do their job for them, i think it takes 2 days but i might be mistaken.

Yes, that's what happened. The AI cleaned up the Karelian provinces.

allright, good to know my knowledge is not so outdated.

I'm happy for you :)

But it was still a surprising way to start a game, and not in a good way.

New players Who have this tutorial can not play Version 1.0, and in Version 1.5 you dont have Moral debuff for wars. Only attriktion debuff for atacking first. Since rebels atacking New players, they got a little buff for global attriktion.

I did not realize there was a morale difference, thanks for pointing that out!

Another way to "encourage" new players to attack is put a supply drop on the province.

Unrelated: supply drops should sometimes spawn free infantry units, sort of like a POW rescue, that would be fun :)
