Diplomatic message entry problems

Almost every time I type a message to another player in the diplomacy screen, there will intermittently be a delay between pressing a key and the relevant characters appearing on the screen. It happens here in this entry field as well. This never happens when typing online in any other application. Perhaps there is a keyboard buffer issue in your text field entries?
