Direct command ranged attack still not working frequently
This bug has not been fixed or has come back and gotten worse, and is very frustrating and should be easy to fix. When direct attacking a target with range by either pressing attack and clicking on the desired target or dragging the ranged unit mouse pointer to attack target, the travel line will be a few seconds shorter than the previewed time to target, and a small distance out of range. Your units still fire, but miss until you catch it and manually move closer, sometimes hours later. I can actually see the travel distance shorten and the range limit circle fall short vs the preview before I click to attack. For naval units, the same thing plus other problems happen. They often won't even direct attack, just move almost close enough and just sit there or the command is deleted as if you never made it. This sucks when you just want to hit a specific target, like destroy enemy buildings, because when you just move to the spot, your ships won't destroy the buildings until you return and manually do it while already within range.
The work around by moving close and then letting the auto fire feature chose your target is not good enough and can delay your fire by several minute or target a less desirable target. Also it is frustrating to not do expected damage, waste your fire, and then have the enemy get first fire while you cant retaliate.
Any idea on when this can be fixed? IS there a know bugs status age you can pin and update?
