Disapearing units

I had a group of 7 artillery and 1 infantry, firing, from land, at a destroyer. I checked in today, and the entire division is gone.

When did the engagement begin? Do you have an enemy nation around you that you were at war with?

I was Turkey, I invaded Greece. My artillery division fought the destroyers for about 4-5 days, and it began with 4 destroyers. Greece only had 1 destroyer left, and when I checked in, my entire artillery unit was gone, no enemy units nearby, no enemy aircraft, just gone.

I checked, only mention of artillery units getting destroyed is a single unit attacked farther in the med
