I have a similar problem, too. In the next lines, I will be trying to explain the problem more in depth.
When I open a game, it loads successfully, but after approximately 5 seconds, my units simply vanish, but I can still see the resources, names of provinces and even the circle which appears when the Airforce is sent to patrol.
If I take the cursor to the spot where an unit used to be, I can still click on that spot and the window which usually appears is still showing up, which is a relatively good thing.
The main reason why this must get fixed as fast as possible is that I am not able to see the enemy units which I spy using the Patrol command or the ones near my state's borders, allied or not.
