Enemy fighters survived TWO nuke attacks!

I have some recent experience in dropping the Big One on aircraft, both on the ground and in the air. Using nuclear missiles (a considerably more powerful weapon than the nuclear bomber) in a recent game, I attacked wings of 45 tactical bombers and 30 fighters. It took 2 nuclear missiles to completely destroy all 45 TBs on the ground -- you've got to pay attention to the hit points of the weapon against other unit types. More interesting was the case of the fighters, which were patrolling directly above the target province and using the air base there; 21 of the fighters were destroyed in the air and the remainder relocated to another nearby air base after their Level 1 target base was destroyed. What you've got to realize is those are big stacks of units, and even a single nuclear weapon doesn't destroy everything in those really big stacks. Against a stack of 25 mixed ground units, a single nuclear missile destroyed them all; against a stack of 45 mixed ground units, a single nuke missile destroyed 28 of them, and damaged the remainder.
