It’s has happened to every server and almost everyone after this update. It’s already been returning, should be back to normal soon enough.

Everyone in the Japanese server lost their rank
It seems like everyone in the Japanese server lost their rank, ie it is level 1 Recruit for everyone. This is not good, as I am in an alliance tournament and everyone needs to be above Level 17 to join their round.
