Forum Post Dates

Here is a bug with the forum itself and not the game. The dates are off on posts.

For example, I'm posing this on March 14, 2024 and if my understanding is correct, the forum will say this was posted December 14, 2023. I promise I'm not a time traveler.

It isn't happening with other posts? They're on point.

Maybe it's another bug. All I know is I got about 10 notices about "new" posts on threads I've posted on and the dates were consistently December 14, 2023. Perhaps it's a bug with the notices instead of the posts.

It’ll be with posts from new members which recently got approved - I don’t know why the mods took so long to approve them though. It’s not a bug, just a weird feature of new users who need mod approval for their first few posts up to private rank.

Interesting. That explains a lot on so many levels. I don't remember needing mods to approve posts when I joined the forums. If all new members experience that, it explains why traffic on the forums is down compared to when I first joined.

Unfortunately they had to change the rules because of all these spam accounts that have been joining the forum lately.

I’m also getting notifs of posts from December that are just now getting approved...

Skull

Yeah me too

Even back in 2016 when I joined, there was some rule that I didn't understand at the time. You would be required to make TWO points before actually being considered for membership of the forum. I remember making a first post about some subject I was interested in at the time, then having to make a "hello" post somehwere to be considered for membership.

Of course, this was long ago.

It’s now 5 points I believe.

I was coming here to make a thread about precisely that issue. I didn't take note of the dates but all of them seemed to be around mid-December so that makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up.

In Other News, March 14th is my one year anniversary!

Your what? You have close to four times as many points as anyone else here and you've been here for less time than I have!

Congratulations, anyway.

Best coincidence of my life was finding that on March 14th.

It wouldn't surprise me to learn that somewhere on YouTube is a channel with a short video for every day of the year, including 29 February.

If it doesn't already exist I have another pointless project to add the the queue.

… there is. In fact there are multiple for each day.

The thing here was that the SpongeBob movie actually has that taking place.

I knew it.

I didn't watch the Spongebob with sound, and only thought to turn on subtitles towards the end, so I missed most of the actual content. This is a normal way to watch videos, right?

Nope. The SpongeBob Movie is great though, but I should probably stop detailing this thread.
