Game is slow - possible explanation

A number of posters have indicated that the game is slow.

One of the perpetual things I find is this stupid dialogue box, grey in colour, indicating that you cant load the game right now or that my computer is somehow lacking in this feature or that and I should resort to basic graphics.

In good old Anglo-Saxon this is *ollocks. I suggest it is simply that at that moment demand is so high (probably from the USA) that no one else can access the game. A bit like waiting in a call queue.

The reason I come to this hypothesis is that it invariably happens in the afternoon or evening European time when the Yanks are getting online.

Not being a techy I dont know the reason but can speculate that perhaps the servers aren't big enough (capacity wise) to cope with the demand and the financial situation is that no one is going to spend the money to alleviate the problem.
