it seems planes on the ground as sole defence force are the very best weapon. just put a number of planes in a city, say 6 fighters standing on the ground w/o any supporting forces. let 22 light tanks attack the city and these 6 planes (not even in the air) manage to kill half the attacking 22 light tanks in a batle that lasts 48 hours....
