Has something changed or is this another bug?

At today's daily update, I completed two games that had been running for the last 66 and 95 days, respectively.

In all of my previous games played to completion, the map revealed and displayed all remaining units of both active and inactive human players, as well as those units of AI countries. When these two games were closed, all units disappeared from the map, including my own and those units of my allies.

Is this another bug, or have we recently changed what occurs when a game is retired? Please advise.
