ok... It looks like Belgian Congo is Axis. so let me do the math (this should be fun!).
Two notes, though, first.
1. I don't have a game open now, so my #'s could be a little off...but i have notes on attack values, so if my numbers are off, it will be by just a little bit (not significantly off).
2. Something seems off with your original description....If i add up all the HP's for Congo's stack, I am getting that their stack, even at 100% health should be 815. You described it as 1184 to start, so....I am wondering if there were some other units in there??? Anyway, if those extra units were less powerful than his Navy Bombers and Attack Bombers, it won't make a difference, but...If they were more powerful, then it would make a difference. For example, if he had more than 3 attack bombers, that would make a big difference because they are his strongest attackers in this fight.
Anyway...here is the calculation i am coming up with...
Axis would be attacking with 7 L1 Navy Bombers and 3 L3 attack Bombers.
7 navy B's attack at 7 each, for a total of 49 attack points per hit.
3 Attack B's attack at 9.5 each, for a total of 28.5 per hit.
so his stack would attack at 77.5 HP per hit.
Since it was on patrol, this would be cut in half, which = 38.75 per patrol tick.
This is assuming his units are at 100% health.
Your stack would be defending with all 10 units in your stack:
1 BB L4 defends at 4
1 Destroyer L4 defends at 5
8 cruisers L3 defend at 11 each
so your defense would be: 4 + 5 +88 = 97.
Divide this by 2, because attackers are patrolling and your defense per patrol click is 48.5.
BUT....you are not at 100% health going into the fight. You are at 75.7% health (560HP that you have divided by 740HP that you would have if at 100% health).
There is a sliding scale for health, without showing the math I can tell you that your stack would be defending at about 81% of their normal defense when your health is at 76% (560HP/740HP = 76% health).
So...You were really only defending at 81% of 48.5 = 39.3HP per patrol hit at the beginning of this fight.
So, really, it was an even fight (in terms of HP lost per attack) at the beginning of the fight (39.3HP vs. 39HP).
Unfortunatley, as the fight went on, however....you got weaker quickly and he got weaker slowly.
Let me explain...at the end of the fight, you had 377 HP. At that point, your health would be 46%.
At 46% health, you defend at 57% of your total ability to fight when 100% healthy.
So, now you are defending at 27.6HP each click...not 39.3 per click like you were getting at the beginning of the fight.
Axis, however, is still hitting you at a high # per click, though, as his/her health has not gone done as much as yours.
Specifically, His/Her health would have gone down to 1014 from 1184 (according to your original message)...this = 86% health. at 86% health...he would still be hitting you at 89% each click.
89% of 39 = 34.7. So each patrol click, at the end of the fight, he is hitting you at 34.7HP and you are only hitting him at 27.6HP.
On average, throughout the fight...you would have hit him at about 33.5.
On average, throughout the fight, he/she would have hit you at about 36.9.
In 5 patrol clicks you should do this much damage:5 X 33.5 = 167.5
In 5 patrol clicks he/she should do this much damage: 5 X 184.5
Actual damage that you reported from you to him/her = 170
Actual damage that you reported from him/her to you = 183
Those actual damage #'s are extremely close to the anticipated damage #'s...and remember there is a variable factor (20% maybe??) for each attack...So....I would say the actual damage #'s seem fair/reasonable vs. what should be expected for this fight!
