Those provinces are indeed core provinces of Greater Romania and always have been on the 22p map.
Greater Romania is a playable country.

Hungarian provinces shown as core provinces of Romania
'In Game 3,205,584 (Clash of Nations), map shows several provinces of Hungary (e.g. Budapest, Debrecen, etc.) as core provinces of Romania. Thus Romania receiving 100% production bonus of homeland, instead of 25%. Please fix! You are going to make an AI country a superpower!' ...

Odd ... I could swear that my first 7 games I played in the Clash of Nations Tutorial (same map) that Hungary existed as a separate nation worth 20 VP's, and Romania 40 VP's ...

I have not played the Clash of Nations Tutorial in close to a year- played my first seven games there. But I recall Hungary was not part of Romania in the Tutorial ...GEN.FARSWAN wrote:

Attached is a map of Europe in September 1939- showing Hungary and Romania as separate states. By the way, the 1939 historical map and the Clash of Nations tutorial agree with separate Hungarian and Romanian states ...

Yeah, different maps have different country distributions, that is expected. Not all countries are the same on every map and some countries exist on some maps while they don't on others. On the tutorial for example we wanted to place more small AI nations for players to attack.

Yes, in the Classic (1.0) version of Clash of Nations, Hungary is a seperate country. But in the 1.5 version, Hungary and Romania are now part of one country, called "Greater Romania"gusv wrote:
