I am fighting a non-existent country.
Western Australia lost all its land many days ago, but their ships are still there. Ghost ships?

Check the province count on the country's information screen. They might still have a random island somewhere.
If they have no provinces left, any remaining units they have should disappear at the next day change.

They had no province for a few days, but this ships were here even after that. that's why I postedAleksanderZ wrote:
