Bro must be mistaken that you are in his alliance
I received a weird message
Today I just got a message from a player through the main site message systems. They said that I should join a discord he made for his alliance members. But I am not part of any alliance, so why did I received this message?

Those are scammers and spammers who are trying to get strangers to join their Discord server.
Once you're there, they can try to get your contact info, get you to click on links, etc.
Indeed. I received the invitation as well. Do not join him on Discord.
This is a common type of spam these days. I get about 5 to 10 of these every week.
Sometimes they arenβt even Discord links. If you hover over the link (on Desktop) you can see the linkβs website address without actually visiting the website. Some of the links Iβve seen seem very suspicious. The best thing to do when you get these emails is avoid visiting the website no matter what, and report the account to Bytro so they can ban them before anyone else falls victim.
bruh didn't expect that. thankfully I dont even use discord so they cant ask me to join it. also yeah that is sus
why is this happening? This is a bot?
lol signature is incoherent with statement
btw I am playing CON map as UK, destroyed France except for Marseille not that he was active anyway. allied with a reckless germany who doesn't know how to stack units or even fight for that matter (who sends a badly damaged light tank to fight an infantry in the mountains?)
Morocco is much better and he is destroying Spain badly not that he was active either... Morocco is stupid enough to stack militia and anti air with infantry and medium tanks (who produces militia in CON though?)
Romania is a commie and idk what to do with him. Should i ally with him and together eat Germany? He did kill yugoslavia so he is not complete noob ig
America (canada, north usa and south usa) is completely dead players arent AI yet.
I can validate and provide the usernames of players that send these
I have about 50 mails from 5-10 different accounts
bro do you remember some dude asking if you were on forum with the same name in callofwar chat?
Yes
Just go solo, what else to be expected in a CoN round?Nobodyx2 wrote:

Large corporations often pay people to advertise their business on social media/online games. It's possible that a bot/program creates these accounts, but I don't see why a corporation would use their time and money to write code for a bot that advertises their business on a relatively niche online game.Claudio NVKP wrote:

Ye. I interacted with one of them to do some trolling, and this is basically what their entire purpose is. They want you to talk to them, they gonna say they dont play this game anymore. Here, if you ask something like "well what game do you play" they'd link you the shitty mobile game that they got paid to advertiseAleksanderZ wrote:

I get them sometimes.
Will they actually ban the user if I report them? Because sometimes I report actual players in my games and nothing is done about it.
Man almost all mobile games are trash (is CoW a mobile game btw?)Renarsm wrote:

One way I found out that it was a scam was a promotion offer from an alliance, I wasnβt even in an alliance so I just deleted the message
I always got annoyed when he said that, but to be honest heβs kinda right if you think about it
Have a good day!
