It appears my name in the game has changed by itself. Like here it is Zippofish, but today looks like ZIppofish. I can’t tell if it’s an upper case i or a lower case L. But it was definitely not that before.
Edit: it has changed to an upper case i. It was definitely lower case before.

Really? When I log onto the game I’ve always typed it lower case.
you are right, I looked up some screenshots I posted on reddit. Clearly shows ZIppofish. Can’t believe I just noticed.
I just found out that logging into the game that caps in the username have no effect. I just logged in several times with different variations.
no way I can change my username now is there?
You can change it once by going to the settings and changing it and hitting save if you haven't done so already if you have used this free one you can submit a support ticket.
The staff that replied to my bug report says he’s in a game with me and sees my name how I suggest it should have been.

Ok, so I was the one that replied and I thought we were in a game together guess I was wrong.
Looking at your name it still has a capital 'I' which will not allow me to change it in the system as it says that name is taken. Then when I look you up under the lower case i it comes up with your name as a capital I.
So why the system has such an issue with your name.
That’s really strange. But, it’s not really a big issue for me. I know you guys probably got issues more worthy of your attention.
I still think it changed at some point, even though the only screenshot I have from about a week ago show it as it is now, I feel I seen it the way I thought it was.
Even if it did it will not allow me to do anything with your name, I have tried and tried several times. Not sure what it has against that lower case i, will see if maybe one of the devs can figure it out after the holidays.Zippofish wrote:

I see that you can contact support to change it but I think that you have to give them 3 names to choose. Which might not be Zippofish.

The system auto changed because it thinks it is inappropriate??
That might just be the case didn't see that until just now.
I think it is just a matter of the system not allowing duplication of names, regardless of their case sensitivity. The name ZippoFish is the same as ZIppoFish, so it already exists. Sort of a catch 22 situation.
However, I managed to trick the system into letting me fix it for you. Merry Christmas.
