Issues with aircraft operating from Air fields

Okay well let me explain a little here

I had 4 strat bombers stationed in friendly territory.

I decided to then attack that territory, so obviously I would move my bombers

there was a friendly airbase 50min flight away, so I let them get airborne then my troops attacked

however something stupid happened...

My bombers automatically flew back to the airbase that they took off from, that I was fighting

couldnt send them anywhere else...

even do they were about 10min into a flight

they returned and went into a convoy

and against a few light tanks they were not much chance

so thats not right, I dont think that the aircraft should return to the airbase that the left even do they are at war

I really think that this need to change, the aircraft should continue to fly that course originally intended
