Then just use enhanced graphics...sometimes in enhanced might glitch a bit.

Losing control of units when the get between Asia and Alaska
There appears to be an issue that when a unit gets in certain spots right on the line between North East Asia and the Western most tip of Alaska, the unit goes out of touch. Clicking on it doesn't bring up any options. You are unable to give the unit any orders until it transitions out of that dead spot. All other units around it work normally. Had it happen twice with two different units on different days.

Problem goes away in enhanced graphics mode and in mobile app.

This is due to the map seam in that region. The overlap which allows navigation and scrolling all around the world does interfere with unit selection. This issue has been resolved in the enhanced graphics. There is no plan to work on this issue further for the plain canvas graphics at this time.
