March time

I just tested it. Sent an armored cart to conquer a series of enemy territories. it would take 12 hours. after conquering the first one the time was down to 11:42. than i recreated the order, it went down to 11:09. what i think is happening is that since now the land is mine the car is going faster, but it was not calculated that way.

or the timer is wrong and was not updated automatically or the car's speed was wrong and was not updated automatically.

I aways assume the timer is showing a greater value than real because i expect an increase in the speed after conquering. but something looks wrong.

sorry for bad english.

Essentially, yes. I believe that the unit will keep the timetable of attacks unless ordered to pick up the pace. This allows better coordination of attacks with multiple army groups.

yes, but that should be optional, as it is it's closest to a bug than a tactic.

even because it still unpredictable enough that if you truely want to coordinate such a thing you have to keep checking it frequently. so what's the point?

the delay is more relevant if you lose a lot of time that could be saved. my march was 12 hours but in reality it should be like 9 or less, thats increadibly relevant lost time!

as i see, it's a bug, any kind of delay should be ordered, not the oposite.

that is even how the interface implicits the idea to the player: "the unit will go as fast as it can, and if you want a delay you need to order it"

I don't understand. Where's the issue?

The past is a foreign country.

kalantigos said it's meant to be that way for tactical reasons. i don't see tactics on this because you can't leave your army that long for itself and hope that it will be coordinated. noone does that, it's too risky.

in the other hand when you order a group to atack multiple territories you are confident that you will not need to check it soon, so you would wish them to go as fast as possible.

now i need to be online aways to issue new orders because my soldiers are lazy and loose precious maneuvering.

this game is first of all diplomacy, and seccond, maneuvering. the point is you can't assume the player want's that delay and make it happen aways. I think 99% of the time we don't want any delays unless we order them.

two practical examples from me

Last night I had to be awake 10 more minutes to march 1 less hour in a 3h march to the destination. The province is very long and aaaaall 90% of the land changed sides.

And i had to delay to today an atack because it would take too long to reach the target and would be risky. Now i have to do it in daylight step by step.
