I sent 4 attack bombers to destroy an enemy artillery piece then left the game.
When I resumed play the aircraft were no longer in the game. News reports shows that the wing destroyed the already mostly damaged artillery piece.
There is no record of the aircraft being attacked or destroyed. They should have been back on the airfield.
What happened to the aircraft?

I found another thread where aircraft disappeared while upgrading.
I attacked the artillery piece with 2 tactical bombers prior to the attack bombers. I hit the upgrade button on the tactical bombers following their attacks. One of those tactical bombers went to the same airfield that based the attack bombers. So I wonder if the attack bombers formed a wing with the upgrading tactical bomber and went *poof*.
How do I get my attack bombers back? They are dear to replace.
Is there any way to get any answers or responses to complaints like mine? Support?
Not going to lie. I think you're crazy. Units don't just vanish without a trace. It tends to be just people failing to use their eyes.

One way to explain missing aircraft is that they were destroyed while you slept....How???
Mistakenly the planes were sent to attack the province where the enemy unit is....You will kill the unit, BUT, the mission is not over. The planes will continue to launch and attack the province.
So,,,I move some AA into the province and just wait.
