I have the same problem
missing province names
With the latest WebGL updates , only city provinces have thier names displayed.
Also the country name now just shows the name of the capital.

Hey, this is intended. Reason is that displaying thousands of city names becomes quite performance heavy and increases the load time, so we had to do this change. Alot of names also obscure the battlefield when you are zoomed out.
Since normally the Urban provinces are most important, next to units, resources and victory points, we for now settled on displaing only those. We already ran with this setting on mobile for a long time. The rest of the names you can find out by clicking on them (name is still displayed in the province menu) or in the province list.
We are still looking for ways to improve usability in that regard though, there may be solutions coming in the future.
Thankyou, I will let others know.
It wasn't really a problem for me asI normally turn names and resources off on maps anyway.
It is really important to be able to see province names on the map. For instance when coaliton member or ally mentions a province, you don't want to have to click on twenty or more provinces to find the referenced one. You need to be able to see province names especially on larger maps. You could at least have a toggle on/off for province names.
most of the time when someone alerts me to and posts a province need, I ctrl+c (copy) and ctrl+f (find),ctrl+v (paste) to take me to the province.
The problem with this only occurs when there is province name with letters, symbols above letters in them not on the english keyboard.Where you would need to be able to copy the the name.
Often the person mentioning the province misspells it. Your method works if the name is spelled correctly.
