its all about morale. this is how they have the game set up. you didnt mention your overall morale or what your grain resources look like. would need more info on why this is happening. Like, where is your capitol, how your resources are doing, how quickly you took all these provinces, etc etc etc. just wait, it sounds like you will soon bang your head against more walls as all these provinces rebel and end up as a collage of different nations from all over the globe.
MORALE IS DROPPING IN OVER 300 PROVINCES AT ONCE
I am the UK on the 25 player historical map. I have been at war with France since the begining of the game he went inactive and I have been slaughtering all of Africa. Earlier today I kicked out all inactive players. So now France is AI. All of a sudden, all throughout Africa my morale is dropping, now my lowest morale province is LITTERALY at 16%. I posted this in the help chat and nobody said anything useful except that i was being spied on in all of my provinces. OK lets look at the logic in that it would take 4.5 million in startup spies and 300k every day to spy on 300+ provinces in Africa. This is impossible if it is France and I have like no other enemies. And if I had any enemies, im pretty sure they dont have 4.8 mil lying around somewhere so someone actually give me advice or fix this bug or explain what is happening, bc this is really getting on my nerves right now.
Another story:
My province had an uprising gave itself to France and also gave itself a light tank tell me this is not hacks

I understand what you guys are saying, but that is not my problem. I am the UK btw
I have been careful in taking my African provinces, I have took a few and come back if any rebel then stay a bit just to be sure. What is happening now is after I have taken them they were rising all throughout Africa, but now all of a sudden they are all turning against me and dropping in morale. In addition to the African provinces, areas on my mainland island are lowering in morale. This is what I am confused about why are my core provinces not keeping up with morale anymore?
if you don't show the influences of your morale, we can't help youbeastyben7 wrote:

It was not doing this before, so why is it doing it now? My average morale is now at 56%. I do not think morale in certain provinces has any reason to effect others.
This large area in Africa has gone crazy with morale
I do not know what its influences are, but here particularly there are 7 neighbors that are hurting it. I am only at war with three countrys
my capitol is still far away in london I can move it closer, but closer is just in the middle of France and I dont want it there yet AI is making the troops go crazy. I will set it up there after France is taken out.
-35 for distance to capital, lol, you should move it somewhere in the middle of all your territory
neighbours are the provinces that are adjacent to yours, it takes in count the morale of it. it takes in count all the provinces, own, allied, neutral and enemies, as you can see, you have another influence that is the extra for being near an enemy province
Is your food production positive (showing green) or negative (showing red)? If you have a food shortage, your empire-wide morale can go into a death spiral as your food production drops even further . . . .
he seems not having those issues as it would be shown in the influences of his moraleMontanaBB wrote:

his influences show -85, 100-85=15% which is his morale in that province
I have not played a game on the new 25-player historical map -- does it include all of the major powers' territories worldwide? If so, the developers may want to consider tweaking the distance-morale formula for this map and the 100-player world map. It should not be impossible to stabilize the morale of captured provinces on the opposite side of the map from your own capital.nemuritor98 wrote:

the feature is the same in all the maps and it's acoording to each province(each province is an amount of km away from the capital) if you go to somewhere nearer to your capital, you'll see it decrease
I have an armoured car stationed in my african province, this is a while after war in that area, and its morale is at 23 and stable why wont it rise?? it isnt as severe as before, but is still a serious issue.

keep reducing it, try to conquer a capital or reduce wars
.....i love it when people complain about morale,
most of the time its just a level <20 player that declares war on a 3+ man coalition as France/UK (in the 25 player map), then 60% of their land rebels to a random AI country, but they usually carry on.....ooooooooor go complain on the forums how a enemy is hacking, which is quite understandable......since Call of War REALLY needs more detailed guides on morale, because beginners don't even realize how important morale is.
i thought that morale was not a important game thing, until i saw how great nations just crumble into pieces.....in matter of days
Draza, my friend, I am no one's idea of a "level <20 player," and I have fought 3 and 4-man alliances, with the help of an ally, and defeated them. So, when I make my comments here, they are coming from an experienced player with a fairly strong record of success playing the game on several different maps. I know how to fight a war and win, stabilize my morale and maximize my resources output in the current environment.King Draza Mihajlovic wrote:

When discussing this issue, I think it's important to remember that the current morale-distance formula was designed for the original 22-player map, and as far as I know, it has been applied to the much larger 50-player Pacific and 100-player world maps with no modification. The point is this: it should be challenging, but not a practical impossibility to stabilize the morale of your conquered provinces on the opposite side of the map from your own capital.
Please consider.
bb is right. i have no problems managing morale on the smaller maps. the new 25 player map is a bear, tho. we had a member of our coalition (King D - this player WAS a less than level 20) that played Japan and ran hog wild everywhere. we are now close to the end, only 2 actives left since he had rebellions all over the place. Then he quit. My problem is that since I had HIGH morale, the majority of these provinces joined ME. Now I am scrambling. What should I have done? What could I have done?

I have sometimes fought 1v3 alliances and won, yeah, i did not put the best example, but the difference between me and the <20 level players, is that i'm "experienced" (if i can even call myself "experienced"), and those players are usually not.
but i agree, the occupied province penalty combined with Distance to capital makes the 100/25 player maps become "Rush the remaining Victory points!" at one point of the game....
Dix, when provinces flip to another country via rebellion, they usually do so at a significantly higher morale level than the 25% of a captured province. If memory serves, the typical morale of a flipped province is around 65%, but it will begin to decline at a minimum of 3 to 5% per day if the morale-distance formula is working against you.Dixie wrote:

What can you do, you ask?
1. Maximize your food production, first in your core food provinces, then in your captured food provinces. (See my "sticky" response under the Forum's Q&A section.) Bad things happen when you begin to experience an empire-wide food shortage, and in the worst case scenario, it could lead to a complete collapse as your food provinces' morale declines and they begin to rebel, creating a death spiral. For this reason, you should always maintain a strategic food reserve of 25,000+ tons when you are playing games on the larger maps.
2. Occupy all flipped provinces that you want to keep with units totaling 7+ strength points (note the strength of unit varies by terrain and unit condition), with an emphasis on food-producing units that you obviously want to keep. Keep the high-priority provinces occupied until the province morale exceeds 30%. And remember: occupying a province with units that have only 3 or 4 strength points is an invitation to rebellion AND losing your garrison unit.
3. Begin to fortify all of the provinces you want to keep. Morale is "sticky" when it is declining; that is to say, absent extreme circumstances, morale will rarely decline more than 3 to 5% per day, and it will usually stabilize 3 to 5% above what the formula would indicate. Remember each level of fortification (L1 through L5) will preserve or add 5% to province's morale per the formula. A completed L5 fortification can raise a province's morale from 25% to 50%. For this reason, it helps when you have a high daily metals production.
4. Oh, and try not to ever fight more than 1 or 2 enemies at once because every active war counts as -5 points in every province.
Hope these suggestions help, Dixie.

Draza, you can call yourself "Two Burgers and a Bag of Fries," and you will always be the King to me.
Cheers.
